Daniel Day-Lewis wins Best Actor Oscar

Daniel Day-Lewis won the Oscar on Sunday for his performance as Daniel Plainview, the oilman whose ambition and greed eventually overwhelm his humanity in "There Will Be Blood.'

It’s the second award in his career after the from1989 for his performance as Christy Brown in Jim Sheridan's My Left Foot.

Daniel Day-Lewis and his wife Rebecca Miller arrive at the 2008 Oscars held at the Kodak Theatre on Sunday in Hollywood.

The 80th Academy Awards ceremony, honoring the best in film for 2007, took place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California.
