Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds have split just after two weeks of marriage.

The couple tied the knot in the first day of the New Year on a private island near Bora Bora in French Polynesia. The Hollywood actor and his movie producer bride exchanged vows in front of 25 friends and family during a sunset ceremony on the beach.

They began dating fall 2006 and were engaged in July.

The reason of their split are unknown yet.

Gossips tells that Eddy Murphy is kind of rule man. Reporter Janet Charlton wrote on her blog: "Eddie has strict rules. He expected his beautiful wife Nicole to appear at the breakfast table every day with her makeup and hair DONE, and looking very together.
Could that be a reason of a split? Or there is a lot in the middle.

Murphy was married before on Nicole Mitchell from March 18, 1993 till August 2005.  Mitchell filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences." The divorce was finalized on April 17, 2006.

Eddie Murphy has a daughter will Spice Girl Melanie Brown, named Angel Iris Murphy Brown, born on Murphy's 46th birthday, April 3, 2007.
