The Tudors returns March 30th

The Tudors is an Emmy Award-nominated television series based upon the early reign of Henry VIII, with Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the lead role.

Some of you may saw it, and got teased by the upcoming season two. Jonathan Rhys Meyers returns as bad boy King Henry VIII and Henry Cavill as Henry VIII’s best friend, Charles Brandon.

Season 2 of The Tudors shows off on Sunday, March 30th. The premiere begins with Henry and Catherine still not quite divorced, and the nation in upheaval. Multiple Oscar nominee Peter O’Toole, 74, recently joined the cast as Pope Paul III.

The series is produced by Peace Arch Entertainment for Showtime in association with Reveille Eire (Ireland), Working Title Films and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and is filmed in Ireland.
