Prosecutors in Chicago Wednesday dropped misdemeanor trespassing charges against actor Shia LaBeouf.
LaBeouf, 21, was arrested last month for allegedly refusing to leave a Walgreens store in Chicago. The charges were dropped Wednesday after Walgreens Co. said it would not prosecute the matter, The Chicago Tribune said.
LaBeouf -- who starred in two hit movies this summer, "Transformers" and "Disturbia" -- was arrested around 2:25 a.m. Nov. 4 when he refused to leave the story after being told several times by a security guard to do so.
LaBeouf became a star on the Disney Channel series, "Even Stevens," and has a starring role in the upcoming Indiana Jones sequel, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."
The actor appeared at Wednesday's hearing accompanied by two attorneys described by the Tribune as among the city's "more prominent defense attorneys," Terry Gillespie and Edward Gensen.
LaBeouf said nothing and left the courthouse through a back door, the newspaper said.
