The nephew of Hollywood actor
Benjamin Bratt was killed when the alleged driver of a stolen car ran a red light and slammed into his vehicle, police say.
Kristopher Bratt, the 20-year-old son of Benjamin Bratt's oldest brother, was declared dead at the scene in San Francisco early Tuesday morning, while a passenger in Kristopher Bratt's car died a short time later, TMZ.com reported.
Police had been chasing the stolen Saturn when it crashed into Kristopher Bratt's car.
Richard Gosnell, who was allegedly behind the wheel of the stolen vehicle, faces two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter, one count of felony hit and run, one count of evading police causing death, one count of stolen vehicle, one count of possession of stolen property, one count of speeding and one count of running a red light, San Francisco Police Sgt. Steve Mannina told TMZ.com.
Benjamin Bratt is best-known for his work on TV's "Law & Order" and his roles in the films "Love in the Time of Cholera," "The Great Raid" and "Catwoman."
