Hollywood actor Josh Brolin is in talks to play the man who killed gay-rights activist Harvey Milk in Gus Van Sant's upcoming biopic, "Milk," Variety.com said.
Brolin would play Dan White, the San Francisco County supervisor who killed Milk and Mayor George Moscone in 1978.
Sean Penn has already signed on to play the title character in the movie, which is slated to begin shooting next month in San Francisco.
Brolin has co-starred in a trio of high-profile films this year -- "In the Valley of Elah," "No Country for Old Men" and "American Gangster."
