Did you miss Sylvester Stallone? He is planning to return in January next year screens for a fourth go-round as John Rambo.

Written, starring and directed by Stallone, the film thus follows in the tradition of Rocky Balboa, and resurrects a major action movie franchise after 20 years.

"Rambo" finds Stallone's beleaguered warrior trying to live a bucolic life in the jungle outskirts of Bangkok when he is prevailed upon by Christian missionaries to accompany them into Burma, aka Myanmar. When the missionaries are captured by an unforgiving Burmese military, Rambo must tap into his dormant Green Beret to help liberate them.

John Rambo made his debut in the 1982 film "First Blood." The release of "Rambo" marks Stallone's first reunion with the profitable character in 20 years ("Rambo III" was released in 1998).
"Rambo" was filmed on location in Thailand, Puerta Vallarta and Burma (aka Myanmar), which has made the headlines in recent months with clashes between Myanmar security forces and civilian protestors led by Buddhist monks.
