Ellen Pompeo wed in secret
Ellen Pompeo is known for her role in Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Meredith Grey.
Seems that the star married her fiancé Chris Ivery on Friday at New York’s City Hall . New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg served as a witness at the brief ceremony, which was performed at City Hall in Lower Manhattan by a city clerk. And the nuptials were so secret, Pompeo's own father only found out about the wedding when she phoned home after the ceremony had taken place. But Joseph Pompeo insists he isn't upset by his daughter's decision. ![]() Asked why the actress chose to marry on that particular date, he replied, "(I have) no idea. You'll have to ask her. She just didn't want a big thing." The couple met in a Los Angeles grocery store in 2003 and began dating about six months later, after "one night she just looked different to me." Let’s hope that in a while will be available some photos from the wedding, to see hoe gorgeous was Ellen as a bride. Publication date: 14 November 2007 Source: Archive
