Cate Blanchett just announced that she is four month pregnant, and in spite her position she continues to do the work she loves to.
The
Elizabeth: Golden Age actress was in Tokyo for a ceremony to open the new Giorgio Armani flagship store on Tuesday.
Blanchett and Armani opened the Armani/Ginza Tower with a celebratory cocktail reception.
According to Fashion Week Daily, the Armani/Ginza Tower will measure about 65,000 square feet over 12 floors and two basement levels and will include Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, and Armani Casa collections, as well as the brand’s first spa, an Italian restaurant, and an Armani Privé bar. Showrooms and the new corporate headquarters of Giorgio Armani Japan Co. Ltd. will round out the offerings.
Before Japan, the actress was in Australia promoting her last movie, and at a press conference for the movie, Cate voiced her concerns over today’s youth and their knowledge for true history.
Cate said, “It’s terrifying that we are growing up with this very illiterate bunch of children, who are somehow being taught that film is fact, when in fact it’s invention. Hopefully though an historical film will inspire people to go and read about the history. But in the end it is a work of history and selection.”
