Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese and actor Leonardo DiCaprio are to team up for the fourth time on the 50s-set crime thriller Shutter Island., according to trade magazine Variety.
The film follows the pair's previous partnerships on Gangs of New York, The Aviator and The Departed.
The drama is set in 1954. Based on the Dennis Lehane novel, DiCaprio will play a US security Marshal Teddy Daniels officer investigating the disappearance of an escaped murderer.
The film will begin shooting early next year in US.
