Salma Hayek voted the hottest celebrity in America

Salma Hayek has been voted the hottest celebrity in the world by a new internet poll.

A total of 3,000 celebrities were ranked by E-Poll who discovered a staggering 65 per cent of the U.S. population would describe Hayek as sexy, according to Star Pulse.

The pregnant 40-year-old edged out younger contender Jessica Alba into second place - but the poll discovered older stars are the hottest, with 36 being the average age of the top 15 actresses. Carmen Electra goes on the third place getting 64 per cent of the population votes.
