Katie Holmes without Cruise at "Hairspray" premiere

Katie Holmes stepped out for the premiere of "Hairspray" in New York last night to support her pal Queen Latifah. The actress walked the red carpet sans her husband, Tom Cruise, according to AP.

Wearing a black mini-dress and black stilettos, Holmes stopped to hug Queen Latifah before making her way inside the theatre.

Latifah invited her "Mad Money" costar, Holmes, to the premiere. The two became friends on the set of their upcoming film, which was recently filmed in Louisiana.
