Naomi Campbell to mop floors and sweep corridors
Naomi Campbell will work as a cleaner as part of her community service sentence, after being convicted of assault.
As Digital Spy notes, Campbell will reportedly have to mop floors and sweep corridors in a public building in New York. The supermodel will consequently avoid the open-air humiliation that Boy George was subjected to when he was ordered to sweep the streets of Manhattan in the presence of the world media. Since being convicted Campbell has apologized for assaulting her maid, Ana Scolavino, and according to the Daily Mail, said that she was "very remorseful" about what she had done. Naomi admitted: "I have a deep sense of shame", before explaining that "tired and lack of sleep" led to the assault last year. "Naomi is ready to report and complete her community service, no matter where or what she will be assigned", said a spokesman for Naomi Campbell affirming that his client was ready to complete her sentence. Publicist corrects Shakira report
Colombian pop star Shakira's publicist says a report that the singer will record a song about Islam and Arabs with Arab-American singer Dania Youssef is untrue.Al-Arabiya reported that Shakira, who is of Lebanese and Colombian descent, is penning the English lyrics, while Egyptian composer Mohamed Saad is writing the Arabic portion of the song, as well as the music.
