United Nations Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie arrived in Africa Sunday to supervise and raise awareness of the humanitarian crisis in the Darfur region of Sudan, according to woai.com.
The Hollywood beauty touched down in N'Djamena in nearby Chad, as she cannot go into Darfur itself, due to the violent circumstances there.
Angelina Jolie is probable to stay in the region for a few days, in her first trip there since 2004. She is due to visit refugee camps near the border of Sudan.
Brad Pitt lover was also recently chosen to join the Council On Foreign Relations, an global think-tank also including Secretary Of State Condoleeza Rice.
