A burial place for James Brown was finally decided.

According to ITV News the late soul singer's children and earlier partner Tomi Rae Hynie Brown decided to bury the star in a confidential location nearly two months after he died.

The accord is part of a legal battle over control of the estate and assets of the Godfather of Soul singer.

"The children and the wife, my client Tomi Rae Brown, have come to an agreement and they have decided that he will be buried in a decent place but it's going to be kept confidential.Assuming a court order is signed he could be buried in the next few days", said lawyer Robert Rosen.

Brown, who died of heart failure after suffering pneumonia on Christmas day, wanted to be buried on his estate at Beech Island, South Carolina but ownership of the property remains in doubt, he said.

Tomi Rae received nothing from Brown, but will sue for 50 per cent of his estate with a further seventh to go to the child they had together.
