Byrne to get University award as Pacino and Stone

Gabriel Byrne is to join the ranks of Hollywood heavyweights Al Pacino and Oliver Stone when he's awarded one of Trinity College, Dublin's highest accolades, according to FemaleFirst.

The Irish actor will pick up an Honorary Patronage from the University Philosophical Society today. Both Pacino and film-maker Stone are already recipients of the famous award.

The “Usual Suspects” star also got a lifetime achievement award at the Fifth Dublin International Film Festival last week.
