The real reason of Tom Cruise split with Paramount

Moldova.ORG -- Sumner Redstone revealed the real motive behind the break-up with Tom Cruise was because they were irritated with his starry manner.

Speaking about it at Berlin International Film Festival, the entertainment giant Viacom chairman said the key reason for the split between Paramount, his flagship venture, and the most powerful and bankable star in the world happened because he wanted to send a signal to the industry that a star is not important, it's the script which is the king, as IANS reports.

"Tom Cruise is a great actor. It was just his behaviour... We are paying the talent too much. Because it is not the talent that makes the movie, it is the script. And if you have a great script, the talent rushes to appear in it and not at too heavy a price", said he.
