Moldova.ORG -- As Queen Latifah wants to "help a kid in the hood" she began be interested in adopting an American kid.
The actress/rapper, whose real name is Dana Owens, is determined to adopt in the US and has attacked stars Angelina Jolie and Madonna for adopting children from abroad, according to ANI.
"I want to help a kid in the hood. I want to adopt an American baby. There's just so many kids that could use a home", Queen Latifah said in a recently interview with US chat show host Ellen Degeneres.
The Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie has two adopted children: five-year-old Maddox from Cambodia and two-year-old Zahara from Ethiopia.
The pop diva Madonna caused controversy last October when adopted one-year-old David Banda from Malawi.
Meg Ryan and Ewan McGregor also adopted abroad.
