Moldova.ORG -- Clint Eastwood was honored with the Cinema For Peace Award in Berlin, Germany.
The US directorwas given the film award for his double project “Flags Of Our Fathers” and “Letters From Iwo Jima”, which narrate the battles between America and Japan during World War II from the perspectives of both parties involved.
German director Wim Wenders eulogized Eastwood as the "voice of humanity" at the presentation.
Actor Forest Whitaker also received a Cinema For Peace Award at the charity gala.

Lifetime pays homage to Estelle GettyAs tribute to Estelle Getty, who passed on July 22 at the age of 84, Lifetime will be airing 10 episodes of the iconic comedy series “The Golden Girls,” Buddy TV informs.
The ten-episode special will feature Getty in all her blustering, sarcastic splendor right from the show's pilot.
The Golden Girls premiered on Lifetime in 1997 and ran for seven years. Getty had won Emmy and Golden Globe Awards for her role, alongside seven Emmy nominations
