Создатель "Другого мира" заинтересовался стратегическими играми

Эрик Шахи (Eric Chahi), создатель "кинематографического платформера" Another World, работает над проектом новой стратегической игры, сообщается на сайте Eurogamer.
"В данный момент я в одиночку работаю над дизайном. Но идеи уже сформировались, и я надеюсь, что очень скоро смогу приступить к самой игре" - заявил Шахи в интервью, посвященном юбилейному переизданию Another World.

Отметим, что "Другой мир", появившийся в 1991 году, Шахи также создал без чьей-либо помощи. Игра рассказывает о приключениях ученого, из-за сбоя в эксперименте оказавшегося на неизвестной планете, населенной агрессивно настроенными обитателями. Благодаря сочетанию приключенческих и аркадных элементов, необычной векторной графике и атмосфере "Другой мир" приобрел культовый статус.

Позже Шахи принял участие в создании еще одного приключения под названием Heart of Darkness ("Сердце тьмы"). Игра появилась в 1998 году, после чего дизайнер не брался за какие-либо проекты, чтобы, по его собственным словам, "перезарядить батарейки".
