Moldova.ORG -- Cate Blanchett hated her husband when she first met him.
According to FemaleFirst the “Notes on a Scandal” star, who was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar, insists it was anything but love at first sight when she and screenwriter Andrew Upton were introduced by a common pal in 1996.
Blanchett revealed Andrew wasn't exactly obsessed with her either.
"We didn't like each other at first. He thought I was aloof and I thought he was arrogant", Cate told Britain's Daily Express newspaper.
But, a little humor eventually broke the ice between the couple and it wasn't long before they fell passionately in love.
"One day I told him a joke that my actor friend Geoffrey Rush had told me and he just laughed his head off”, explained Cate.
