A 10-year-old filmmaker wanting creative control over his work has sued his Malibu, Calif., backer, saying she wants "final cut and everything."

Dominic Kay, whose screen credits include "Minority Report" and providing the voice of Wilbur the pig in "Charlotte's Web," is in a creative battle with neighbor Conroy Kanter, who financed a short film Kay directed, the Los Angeles Times said Friday.

"She wanted to make all the decisions and stuff," Kay said. "She wanted final cut and everything."

In his lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Kay alleged Kanter is trying to wrest control of "Saving Angelo," starring actor Kevin Bacon, which she helped finance with $11,000.

Kanter's attorney alleged that Kay's mother was behind the lawsuit, seeking financial gain.

Kay alleged that he had to shelve the film because Kanter threatened to sue him since September 2005 if he completed the editing or screened the finished product without her consent.

The short film tells the story of a boy who rescues a dog left for dead on the side of a road. The lawsuit said profits would be donated to animal rescue charities. // Copyright 2007 by United Press International
