Gibson arrest deputy states annoyanceMoldova.ORG -- The Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy who arrested filmmaker Mel Gibson for drunk driving says officials are irritating him, as UPI reports. An attorney for Deputy James Mee told the Los Angeles Times sheriff's officials are harassing Mee because they question whether he leaked a report to the news media containing details of the anti-Semitic rant Gibson engaged in during his arrest in Malibu. Attorney Richard Shinee told the newspaper his client was suddenly transferred from patrolling Malibu and was unjustly singled out for scrutiny by supervisors. "His life and career would be a lot different had he not made that arrest," Shinee told the Times. The Sheriff's Department at the beginning told the news media Gibson was arrested "without incident," even though Mee's arrest report said the Oscar-winning director of "Braveheart" was belligerent and profane and unleashed a "barrage of anti-Semitic remarks." Mee's report was leaked to the celebrity news Web site, TMZ.com. Neal Tyler, who oversees the station where Gibson was booked, told the newspaper he was unaware of problems with Mel's treatment and said the deputy is not being singled out.
