Eragon remarkable opportunity for Speleers

Edward Speleers says although shooting "Eragon" was a remarkable opportunity for him; the film was also a "surreal experience."

According to Daily Mail the young actor admitted that production on the adventure movie, which features a fire-breathing dragon, posed an interesting challenge, as its dragon was only added digitally later.

"It was a very surreal experience making the film. For a lot of the time the dragon was basically an orange tennis ball", confessed Speleers.

The 19-year-old actor also said that getting a major role in "Eragon," based on Christopher Paolini's novel of the same name, represented an amazing break in his fledgling acting career.

"I was appearing in Hamlet in my school play and I heard of this audition and knew I had to go for it. My father called me up and told me after the second round that I'd got the part. I didn't believe it then and sometimes I still don't believe it now", said Edward Speleers
