Reese Witherspoon is to star in the remade classic thriller “Bunny Lake Is Missing”. Director Otto Preminger's is set to do this job, as Contactmusic reports.
The 1965 film surrounds the events that occur after a woman reports that her daughter, Bunny Lake, has gone missing. When police investigate and find no evidence that she ever existed, they begin to question the woman's sanity.
The original movie starred Laurence Olivier and Carol Lynley.
Director Joe Carnahan, who lately completed the ensemble drama “Smokin’ Aces”, hopes to helm the film before he directs George Clooney in “White Jazz”.
The Oscar winner actress is at present starring in another thriller, “Rendition”, next Jake Gyllenhaal and Meryl Streep.
