Cornish just a platonic relation with Phillippe

Abbie Cornish spent "a lot of time" with her “Stop Loss” co-star Ryan Phillippe earlier this year, but insists their relationship was only friendly, just platonic.

The Hollywood novice was romantically linked to the “Crash” heart-throb last month when his wife Reese Witherspoon filed for divorce after seven years of marriage.

The 24 year-old Australian actress strongly denied she had a romance with Phillippe and then missed the premiere of her latest film “Candy”.

"We were very good friends and we did spend a lot of time together, yeah. But we're friends and that's it", Cornish told America's Star magazine.
