Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement before their marriage in 1999, according to Fametastic.
As Californian law says, the marriage earnings made during should be divided up in similar parts. When they got married they were earning similar amounts. After some of hits and her Best Actress Oscar earlier this year, Reese can earn up to $20million a movie. Ryan earns around $2.5million.
According to TMZ it’s unlikely that the couple will reunite now that the separation as been made formal and that filing for a divorce is only a matter of time.
Given Reese’s and Ryan’s conflicting-avoiding personalities and their concern for their two children, the divorce proceedings and financial settlement are likely to be friendly.
