Bobby Brown, who's divorcing Whitney Houston, may have been letting her pay his bills for a little too long. He asked a cable TV show to give him a new car as an appearance fee, says the N.Y. Daily News.
He was invited to appear on "I Married a Baller," a show about the marriages of sports stars, on the cable channel TV One. He was supposed to appear with Eddie George of football's Tennessee Titans, because he's old friends with the player's wife Tamara.
Anyway, he said he'd be glad to appear but would they please give him a car, on camera, instead of a fee?
"We actually thought he meant for us to book him car service," said executive producer Datari Turner. "But then I was told that he actually wanted us to buy him a car!"
The deal fell through, Turner adds, "because for the standard appearance fee we could have gotten him a 1997 Ford Expo."
