Annette Bening welcomed to Oscars Board

Actress Annette Bening has been elected to the board that gives out Hollywood's highest film honor, the Academy Award, Star Pulse informs.

The three-time Oscar nominee will join the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, a 43-member group that mandates the regulations for the annual ceremony.

The "American Beauty" star is married to actor Warren Beatty, who was honored with a lifetime achievement accolade at the annual American Film Institute awards last month.
