The Will Smith action comedy Hancock blew into U.S. theaters this weekend, claiming the No. 1 spot for gross gate receipts, Box Office Mojo said Sunday.

Movie-goers bought an estimated $66 million in tickets to the Sony movie, which also stars Charlize Theron, in its first weekend. Since it hit U.S. theaters Tuesday evening, it banked $107,321,000.

Last week's top movie, Wall-E, was No. 2 with $33.42 million, while Wanted slipped from second to No. 3 with $20.61 million in estimated revenues.

Get Smart was No. 4 at $11.13 million, followed by Kung Fu Panda at No. 5 with $7.5 million in estimated receipts in its fifth week in U.S. theaters.

The next two spots were held by The Incredible Hulk with $4.98 million in sales and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at $3.94 million.

Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, zoomed up from No. 23 to No. 8 in its third week, pulling in $3.6 million in gate receipts. The drama based on the American Girl doll line stars Abigail Breslin, Julia Ormond and Chris O'Donnell.

Sex and the City held on to ninth at $2.34 million and and You Don't Mess with the Zohan stayed No. 10 with $2 million.

Falling out of the top tier were The Love Guru and The Happening.
