Report: Barrymore unhurt in hit and run

Police in California say they are trying to find the driver who allegedly rear-ended U.S. film star Drew Barrymore, then fled the scene.

Sgt. Kristin Aloma of the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station Tuesday confirmed to the Los Angeles Times the actress was the victim of a hit-and-run accident in West Hollywood Monday.

The report said Barrymore, 33, was not hurt in the collision.

Aloma told the newspaper the actress chased the vehicle that allegedly hit her and copied down its license-plate number.

Police are now trying to find the driver, Aloma said.

Barrymore has starred in the films Music and Lyrics,Charlie's Angels,Never Been Kissed and Ever After.
