LOS ANGELES, May 13 (UPI) -- Matt Grant, star of The Bachelor: London Calling, proposed to Shayne Lamas on the season finale of the reality romance competition series.

Grant is a 27-year-old global financier from England. Lamas, the daughter of former TV star Lorenzo Lamas, is a 22-year-old actress from Los Angeles.

My knees gave out and I started shaking, Shayne Lamas told People magazine after the proposal. It was a fairytale proposal like I've always dreamed about. I forgot that there (were) cameras around. In that moment, it was just Matt and I, and it was the most amazing moment of my entire life.

Grant called the moment incredible.

It (was) a beautiful setting, a beautiful day. Shayne (looked) absolutely exquisite, he told People.

Lamas said she wants to marry Grant but not until she is ready.

There's still a lot of growing to do in our relationship. We will not tie the knot until I am mentally and physically prepared as well as Matt, she said.

The couple couldn't be seen in public for the past few months while the show aired, in an effort to keep under wraps the name of the woman with whom Grant would choose to have a relationship.

CHICAGO, May 13 (UPI) -- Three people have been chosen to serve on the jury for R. Kelly's long-delayed child pornography trial in Chicago.

Kelly is accused of having sex with an underage girl, an act allegedly captured on video some time between 1998 and 2000.

Three jurors were chosen Monday over the course of nine hours, during which 13 other perspective jurors were dismissed by the judge, defense or prosecution, the Chicago Tribune said. Each side gets seven preemptive strikes.

The defense struck only one potential juror, while prosecutors struck three -- two black and one white -- prompting Kelly's lawyers to claim prosecutors were deliberately eliminating minorities from the jury pool.

However, the newspaper said the judge dismissed the defense's arguments.

Jury selection was to resume Tuesday morning, the Tribune said.

NEW YORK, May 13 (UPI) -- Jailed rapper Remy Ma reportedly was left standing at the altar of a New York prison after her fiance attempted to sneak a handcuff key through security.

Correction officials told the New York Post the universal key was quickly confiscated and Remy Ma's betrothed, a rapper named Papoose, was ejected from the Riker's Island correctional facility.

The Post said Monday's wedding was canceled.

Remy Ma was to be sentenced Tuesday for felony assault. She faces up to 25 years in a state prison for shooting a former friend in the stomach during a dispute over money.

NEW YORK, May 13 (UPI) -- The new Broadway musical In the Heights was nominated for a leading 13 Tony Award nominations in New York Tuesday.

Following close behind were the revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific with 11 Tony nods and Sunday in the Park with George with nine.

August: Osage County,Gypsy and Passing Strange all earned seven nominations apiece.

Nominated for best play were August: Osage County,Rock 'n' Roll,The Seafarer and The 39 Steps.

Up for the Tony for best musical are Cry-Baby,In the Heights,Passing Strange and "

Xanadu."

In the running for best revival of a play are Boeing-Boeing,The Homecoming,Les Liaisons Dangereuses and Macbeth.

Competing for the award for best revival of a musical are Grease,Gypsy and Sunday in the Park with George.

Boeing-Boeing,Macbeth and The 39 Steps each were nominated for six Tony Awards, while Les Liaisons Dangereuses is up for five prizes and Cry-Baby,Rock 'n' Roll,The Seafarer and Xanadu are all up for four apiece.
