Suge Knight knocked out in nightclub fight

LOS ANGELES, May 12 (UPI) -- Rap impresario Suge Knight refused to file a police report or cooperate with police after being knocked out outside a Los Angeles night club, TMZ.com reports.

The entertainment news Web site said Knight got into an argument with another man, and then he and his companions allegedly knocked the other individual to the ground.

The man allegedly landed a blow on Knight's face that left him unconscious for about three minutes.

I want my money, Knight was overheard saying to the man.

The altercation took place Saturday night outside Shag nightclub.

His companions put Knight into an sports utility vehicle. A woman at the wheel tried to drive away but was removed from the vehicle after she hit a parked car and then reversed into another one. Another driver then took over.

Police attempted to interview Knight at the hospital.

Knight, a co-founder of Death Row Records, was one of the most influential promoters in rap in the mid-1990s. In 1997, he was jailed on a parole violation.

'Mermaid' actor still in hospital

NEW YORK, May 12 (UPI) -- A representative for the Broadway musical The Little Mermaid said an actor injured in an on-stage fall this weekend remains in the hospital.

Show spokesman Matt Polk told the New York Post that actor Adrian Bailey, a 51-year-old ensemble performer, was hospitalized following the accident, which happened shortly before the Saturday afternoon performance was to begin.

The cast is very sad and concerned for Adrian, Polk told the Post.

The newspaper said Bailey sustained two broken wrists when he fell 20 feet through a trap door in a boat suspended over the stage. He underwent surgery Sunday to repair the damage.

A cast member who visited Bailey at Bellevue Hospital told the Post the injured actor is doing OK.

He's been sedated, the cast member said, adding that Bailey had also hurt his back in the fall.
