Finally the most favorite couple of all moments are going to knot the tie.
Beyoncé Knowles and longtime beau
Jay-Z have taken out a marriage license in Scarsdale, N.Y.
According to a source, the pair obtained a license Tuesday morning. The document is valid for 60 days.
The Destiny's Child alumn and her longtime boyfriend, hip-hop artist and entrepreneur Jay-Z have been quietly dating since 2002, but have so far refrained from formal commitment and have tried hard to keep their relationship as low-profile as possible. However, this hasn't stopped the media from speculating wildly about the couple's antics – so much so, in fact, that the long-expected Beyonce – Jay-Z marriage has turned a little bit like that "boy who cried wolf"story, and now that the pair has finally taken out a marriage license, we're all having a hard time coping with the fact it may finally happen.
As it was mentioned earlier, the two artists have been together for six years already, and were first linked together after Beyoncé put in an appearance on a song by Jay-Z called "'03 Bonnie & Clyde" and Jay-Z later returned the favor, collaborating with the popular R&B singer on her 2003 solo hit "Crazy in Love". Ever since they were officially confirmed as a couple, the pair still maintained their reluctance to talk to the media about their relationship, but never made a secret out of it in their music and videos.
The latest marriage rumor linking them came last December, when it was claimed that Jay-Z (who allegedly proposed to his girlfriend about a year ago in Cannes) had married Beyoncé in Paris in a private ceremony. It was also claimed that the couple had decided against wearing wedding rings and had tattooed personal inscriptions on their ring fingers. Even though it appears they are planning to get married within the next two months, there may still have a Paris ceremony that has yet to be made official in the States. In any case, the marriage of the two acclaimed music stars will most certainly be a very talked-about affair.
Maybe this time the star couple will surprise and please everybody and get to marry finally.
