Blaxican pleads guilty to more charges

Eric Jaglicic, an Illinois rapper known professionally as Blaxican, has pleaded guilty in Joliet to perjury and obstruction of justice.

The charges were connected to the 27-year-old Homer Glen rap artist's plot to steal $1.6 million from more than a dozen investors in 2006, the Chicago Tribune said.

Jaglicic had previously pleaded guilty to 22 counts of theft, three counts of security violations and two counts of wire fraud in DuPage County and was given a six-year prison sentence.

Will County Circuit Judge Edward Burmila sentenced Jaglicic to two additional years on the perjury and obstruction of justice charges. However, the sentence will run concurrently with his previous sentence, the Tribune said.

Prosecutors said Jaglicic and an alleged accomplice conned investors into putting up cash for a non-existent Adam Sandler movie called The Record Deal.

Jaglicic's home, cars, home furnishings and belongings were sold by the state to repay the victims but raised only $21,000.
