Nicole Richie is doing great as a mom to her baby daughter, Harlow.

Senior Richie told "That baby is the sweetest, most beautiful baby. Nicole's kid is amazing."

Talking of Nicole, he said that she "has turned into a full-fledged mom. It's the most frightening thing in the world because you keep thinking, 'Are you going out?' And [she's like], 'No, dad, can't go out! She has another feeding - I have to be right here!'"

Lionel also said that the relationship with his daughter is really tie, here is what he said: "Nicole and I are very close. She presents everything to me as, 'Oh, my God, dad, you're not going to believe this! I sat down and said, 'How bad is it?' She said, 'I'm pregnant!' I said, 'Oh, my God!' and got tears in my eyes."

Nicole is pretty busy on this moment as she is preparing a birthday party for her husband- Joel Madden.
Joel and twin brother Benji will turn 29 on March 11th.
The 26-year-old former Simple Life star shopped at Alpha: Gear for Gents and a party store to pick up some balloons and party favors. Nicole purchased birthday banners and also greeting cards that read “Pushing 30″ and “You’re the best dad ever and I’m not pulling you leg.”
