Sidney Lumet

Sidney Lumet was born on June 25, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He is an American film director.

He directed more than 50 films including the critically acclaimed 12 Angry Men (1957), Dog Day Afternoon (1975), Network (1976) and The Verdict (1982).

He won an Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2005.

His last projects include Gloria (1999), Find Me Guilty (2006) and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (2007).
