Winslet wasn’t attractive enough as a modern English girl
Moldova.ORG -- Kate Winslet was frightened starring in “The Holiday”, as she didn't feel attractive sufficient.
The “Titanic” star, who shared the screen with Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Jack Black in the romantic comedy felt panic-stricken at the thought that movie fans would see the real her, as ANI reports.
"I've never played a modern English girl in a movie. It was weirdly more intimidating because I was like, 'I don't have an accent to hide behind. I don't have any eccentric clothing. I have to look good in these jeans and ballet flats", said the British actress.
Kate also revealed that she was able to pick and choose her film roles more selectively since marrying director Sam Mendez in 2003. 
"Meeting Sam has made an amazing difference in my life and in terms of work he has been brilliant, saying, 'Don't feel guilty about the kids, I'll be at home'", said the 31-year-old actress.
Kate winslet has a son, Alfie, who is three, with Sam and a six-year-old daughter, Mia, from her earlier marriage to film director Jim Threapleton.
