Spader wins Emmy for 'Boston Legal'
James Spader won the award for best lead actor in a drama at the 59th annual Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles Sunday night.
It was Spader's second Emmy win for his portrayal of smarmy attorney Alan Shore on the David E. Kelley-created drama, "Boston Legal." Spader also won an Emmy for playing Shore on Kelley's long-running series, "The Practice."
Also nominated in the category were James Gandolfini from "The Sopranos," Hugh Laurie from "House," Denis Leary from "Rescue Me" and Kiefer Sutherland from "24."
"Oh, my goodness. I feel like I just stole a pile of money from the mob -- and they're all sitting right there," Spader joked, referring to the cast of "The Sopranos." // Copyright 2007 by United Press International
