The 38-year-old “She Bangs” singer introduced the performance by Million Dollar Quartet, one of the four shows nominated for Best Musical. It’s up against American Idiot, Fela!, and Memphis.

The twosome and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith are producers/investors in the musical Fela!, about the Nigerian singer/activist. Fela! is up for Best Musical, against American Idiot, Memphis and Million Dollar Quartet.
