Reality check: Pentagon reviews 'The Hurt Locker' (video)
Fox News reports that Pentagon's spokesman Bryan Whitman issued a statement regarding the Oscar winner movie "The Hurt Locker".
2010 best director award Kathryn Bigelow made her film "The Hurt Locker," about the dangerous lives of U.S. bomb disposal experts in the Iraq conflict. The movie won six Oscars in different categories, including best film.
"I'd just like to dedicate this to the women and men in the military who risk their lives on a daily basis in Iraq and Afghanistan and around the world, and may they come home safe. Thank you," Bigelow said at the awards ceremony.
It seems that the U.S. militar official credit 'embed' program for film's success.
"...Journalists who spend any time with our troops walk away with a sense of professionalism and a sense of the challenges they face everyday," said Whitman at the Pentagon on March 8.
