Nude pictures leaked in May hunting Rihanna
Any publicity is good publicity, and publicity equates to sales, but according to Billboard data, this isn't necessarily the case of Rihanna. When nude photos of her were leaked this month, the numbers prove that while there was indeed a huge increase in internet buzz chatter there was no affect on sales.
On May 8, 2009, nude photographs allegedly featuring Rihanna were leaked to the Internet. Island Def Jam sent a letter to the website hosting the pictures demanding that they be taken down. It is not clear that Rihanna is the person featured in the nude photographs, although the artist is visible in accompanying clothed pictures. The 20 year-old R&B seductress is shown taking self nude pictures in what looks like her hotel bathroom, twirlit.com reported.
It’s been a rough year for Rihanna after the whole Chris Brown saga and now these pictures.
