New Bond Craig as James Blond
Daniel Craig revealed he was pressured by directors to dye his blond locks dark brown to be new 007 smash “Casino Royale”, when he was faced with criticism from fans, as newkerala.com reports.
But Craig refused to change the color of his locks, which went on to give him the title of the first blonde Bond.
"I was asked to dye my hair brown to play this role but it was out of the question. I suggested instead that I could cut my hair really short to create a more brutal appearance," said Craig quoted by the Daily Mail.
The actor was criticized being chosen to play the world's most famous secret agent, saying he was too short, too ordinary looking and too blond to play Bond.
The most criticism provoked his hair, referring to him as "James Blond'.
“Casino Royale” grossed 13.4 million pounds and topped the UK box office.
"We are very grateful for the support and goodwill of the British public towards Daniel Craig," said Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Martin G. Wilson.
The film smashed the earlier opening weekend record of 9.1million pounds for a Bond film, held by Pierce Brosnan's “Die Another Day”, as it became the third-fastest earning film ever, behind “Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire” and “Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest”.
