Moldova's best film to receive special premium
The VI "Chronograph" International Festival of Documentaries was opened Tuesday evening in Chisinau by demonstrating a picture, devoted to the memory of Poet, Scientist and Statesman Ion Vatamanu. He would have had 70 years on this day. The poet's daughter Leontina Vatamanu made this film at the OWH TV Studio.
According to the organizers of the festival, the contest show of films will take place from May 2 to 5. The festival is organized by the OWH TV Studio in cooperation with the Union of Cinematographers of Moldova, TV 5 Monde and the French Alliance to Moldova.
The main category is "Documentary", where visitors will see 26 films, made by documentary producers from Israel, Germany, Denmark, China, the Czech Republic, Georgia, France, Russia, Estonia, Serbia, Romania, Great Britain, Finland, Poland and Australia. Moldova will present two films - San Sanych and Probă de libertate (A Freedom Test).
In the new cadRO category, devoted to Rimanians from the whole world, 13 pictures will be presented.
In the frame of the Video Laboratory for Youth, organized by the European Youth Foundation (EYF) one-minute films will be shown Wednesday evening.
On May 5 in the category "The Products of Local Studios" local products will be presented, It will follow by the German Cinema Day, organized with the help of the Goete Institute from Bucharest.
A Special premium will be handed for the cimema activity and the German Embassy together with the Amadeus Travel Lufthansa City Center will confer a special premium on Moldova's best film.
The festival will be concluded on Saturday by a decoration ceremony, where prizes and premiums of the festivals will be handed to the winners and the demonstration of the winner picture will take place. The festival's cups were made by Sculptor Valentin Virtos. // Infotag
