Minnelli with Gest divorce came to friendly conclusion

Moldova.ORG -- The powerful divorce battle between Liza Minnelli and David Gest came to an friendly conclusion, as their lawyers say.

The couple got married in an extravagant ceremony in 2002, but only lasted a year before separating, then filing for divorce in 2004.

Gest later made headlines when he sued Minnelli for $10 million, maintaining the singer attacked him physically during drunken rages.

In the meantime the troubled daughter of Judy Garland countersued, accusing Gest of stealing at least $2 million of her earnings.

But, disputes between the separated spouses were dropped, with Gest's lawyer Susan Moss stating they are probable to divorce "within the next few weeks" in Memphis, Tennessee.
