Meryl Streep:'It’s incredible—I’m 60'
Meryl Streep graces the January 2010 cover of Vanity Fair, on NY/LA stands December 2 and nationwide on December 8.
Here’s what the 60-year-old shared:
At this stage in her life: “I’m very f—ing grateful to be alive. I have so many friends who are sick or gone, and I’m here. Are you kidding? No complaints!”
On never expecting her acting career to last this long: “It’s incredible—I’m 60, and I’m playing the romantic lead in romantic comedies! Bette Davis is rolling over in her grave. She was 42 when she did All About Eve, and she was 54 when she did What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?”
