Jessica Alba escapes vandalism charges
Jessica Alba has been investigated by the Oklahoma City Police for defacing property.
The 28-year-old actress was caught on camera plastering posters of great white sharks on electrical boxes, a bridge and a United Way billboard. (She was supporting a protest group seeking to raise awareness of the endangered sharks.)
Alba has since apologized via her rep: “I got involved in something I should have had no part of. I realize that I should have used better judgment, and I regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign. I sincerely apologize to the citizens of Oklahoma City and to the United Way for my involvement in this incident.”
Police will not pursue a criminal vandalism case against Jessica Alba over posters that were plastered around downtown Oklahoma City.
Police said none of the owners of property on which the posters were placed wanted to press charges against the actress.
