Jerry Bruckheimer to produce video games

Jerry Bruckheimer is a film and television producer in the genre of action, drama, and science fiction. His best known television series are CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and The Amazing Race. His best known movies include Top Gun, The Rock, Armageddon, Enemy of the State, Black Hawk Down, Pirates of the Caribbean, King Arthur, and National Treasure.

So, he decided to produce video games. Bruckheimer will work with MTV Games to conceive, develop and create new games under the media company’s banner. Moreover, he will open a development studio within MTV Games.

“Video games represent a new and innovative medium for what we’ve always tried to do, which is to tell great stories. But this medium is unique in that it gives the player control over how those stories unfold," said Jerry Bruckheimer. “I look forward to working with MTV Games to create new original game stories, always looking for ways to innovate the medium."

MTV Games will invest $500 million in video game development. Part of the goal with MTV Games's partnership with Bruckheimer is to develop new properties, rather than relying on licensing existing franchises and titles. Also, MTV Games' is looking for new forms of interactive storytelling in digital media, although the company anticipates some of the properties could migrate to TV, film, or other media.

Well, after the great success in the movie zone, there is no doubt that Bruckheimer will deal this challenge. Be patient and soon you will find out the games that he will produce.
