Hotel insiders snitch on stars in book
Two former concierges at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago have penned a book filled with intimate details about their celebrity guests.
The book will not be published because the authors -- Abigail Hart and Nancy Joyce Callahan -- signed confidentiality agreements. However, the Chicago Sun-Times said it was sent a review copy of Great Reservations
before the deal was canceled.
The book claims actor John Cusack had his fetid, stained and incredibly smelly
laundry sent to the hotel ahead of him to be cleaned and also said he had an affair with Madonna when she stayed there while filming of A League of Their Own.
The authors recalled a time when actor Bill Murray allegedly walked around the lobby, handing out $20 bills, saying, Those shoes need shining
and You look hungry -- buy yourself a ham sandwich.
The newspaper said the book also described former Hollywood couple Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan arguing loudly in their room.
The authors also quoted Harrison Ford as saying, I'd rather have a root canal,
when someone suggested he attend the opening party of Planet Hollywood with his fellow action stars Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
