Heath Ledger’s family about his death
Heath Ledger’s autopsy confirmed that he died of an accidental overdose of prescriptions drugs.
On Wednesday was announced the final result of the actor who died just two weeks ago.
Ledger was taking a mixture of pain killers, sedatives and antidepressants used to treat anxiety and sleep problems.
The family reaction after the announcement was a heartbroken and lost one. His dad, Kim Ledger said that that the autopsy had put an end to all the speculations that Heath could die of drugs. After the actor’s death media not even accused the actor of being dependent of drugs, moreover they aired a video where Heath was taking drugs (to remind that the video was shot two years ago).
Kim added that “beautiful spirit and enduring memory of Heath will forever remain in our hearts.”
About his son, Kim said beautiful words: “To most of the world Heath was an actor of immeasurable talent and promise. To those who knew him personally, Heath was a consummate artist whose passions also included photography, music, chess and directing. We knew Heath as a loving father, as our devoted son, and as a loyal and generous brother and friend.
We treasure our beautiful granddaughter Matilda (to our dear Michelle) as well as an unbelievably wonderful network of close friends, forever, around the world. Families rarely experience the uplifting, warm and massive outpouring of grief and support as have we, from every corner of the planet. This has deeply and profoundly touched our hearts and lives. We are eternally grateful.
At this moment we respectfully request the worldwide media allow us time to grieve privately, without the intrusions associated with press and photography."
